A large part of how we learned to build a company was from the startup ecosystem. Fellow founders, who would meet every week, talk about what worked for them, what didn't, how they enjoyed the small wins, how they struggled to make a decision, and so on. These stories from fellow founders had a huge impact on what I am doing today.
